    Portable 1/2 Watt RGB

I got one of Larry's units a while back. It's great but I need to fit it with a line or cross generating lens. I'm having trouble finding one of decent quality rated for the whole RGB spectrum. I assume glass is the way to go. Any suggestions? I've been searching on and off for several...

    Portable 1/2 Watt RGB

What about power leads and limiting resistors? I don't want to hook it up wrong and fry something... That's the primary question I'm asking.

    Portable 1/2 Watt RGB

LarryDFW, would a kit like this interface well with yours? I assume the RGB outputs would hook up to your inputs but what about the power leads and limiting resistors he refers to? Make an RGB controller. I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron but need a little help with the whole circuit...

    Timer for Duty Cycle

Appreciate that Fracker. I ordered the timer (from my earlier post) but after reading through the other responses, I'm not as worried. I'm not using a very high powered module and there will be a fair amount of metal around it. Again I'm just looking to set up a nice hands-free liquid sky...

    Timer for Duty Cycle

Agree that Duty Cycle (when/if provided) is probably not that scientific. But neither is - let go when it gets warm. My laser pens get fairly warm after keeping them on for a while, mainly due to the heat of my hand applying enough pressure to keep the button pushed in. Plus it's hard to say...

    Timer for Duty Cycle

Hope you guys don't mind me posting my findings. This might be the one. Configurable on and off times from 200ms - 200min. Time is set by two potentiometers (which could get tedious). Input 3-12VDC. I think it only has 1000mA max current (checking on that). Ships from Hong Kong for $12...

    Timer for Duty Cycle

Getting warmer.... This runs on line voltage so it would be hardwired on the AC side, thus requiring some kind of enclosure for safety reasons. Looking for something on the DC side... ICM306 - ICM Controls ICM306 - ICM306 Duty Cycle Timer, Time Delay in Seconds

    Timer for Duty Cycle

I am & I am familiar with that kind of timer. They usually only let you run 1-5 cycles per day (in fact I just bought one for something else). This would be over 1000/day if left on a 60sec/5sec cycle. More likely it would be on for an hour or two. I figured surely there is something small &...

    Timer for Duty Cycle

Hi all, first post... I'm putting together a small AC powered line laser to achieve that "liquid sky" effect. Most of the modules out there (<100mW, <$100) have a duty cycle. Is there some kind of timing circuit I could place between the power supply and module to handle this automatically...
