No, not really. But I expected a "super overspec", but I think it's somewhere near 5mw (maybe a little bit more), because I can see the beam not very bright at night and it can't burn things.

I received my green lasers from the same seller, but unfortunately they are really 5mw, and not 50mw like the violet one :P

Thank you so much! It worked, turned the lens a bit counter clockwise and it's focused now :D So, I can burn stuff without having to use that magnifying glass everytime :p Conclusion: Lasers from Valueoffer (http://stores.ebay.com/valueoffer) are a must-buy :D Very cheap.

Yes, there is screw-thread in the screw hole. (not very visible on the picture below) But so far I can see, there is some kind of glue in it too. I made a pic (sorry for the bad quality, the camera of my HTC Wildfire is kinda scratched)...

So, I managed to get the cap off using a vice (and a cloth) :) But I can't seem te get the lens adjust. I tried turning it with a bend paperclip, but it won't move. Any advise?

Actually I had bad batteries in it when I tried it in the dark. With new, full batteries I can see the beam a bit at full darkness.

Nah, the beam isn't visible. That's because the human eye doesn't see 405nm as bright as (for example) 532nm. Even in complete darkness, I still can't see a bit of the beam. Thank you, I'll try tomorrow :) PS. Good thing I wear contact lenses with UV filters :P

I just tried with my hands and a cloth for better grip, but it's fairly firm. Should I try it with pliers? (I don't want to damage it) Yeah I tried that, fluorescent things light up very bright. Indeed, I also noticed it's somehow hard to focus with your eye, especially with a magnifying glass...

I think it's just a couple of LEDs.
