I'm only familiar with linear drivers currently.... the thing that confuses me about the flexdrives is the difference in wiring. I know that the case pin is wired to the negative input on the driver, but I do not get how that creates a complete circuit unless you make contact with the case also...

Great! As far as voltage is concerned, does it take two cr123a's or just one 18650 @ 400mA? I know it can depend on the driver, but what input voltage am I looking at for this diode?

Hello, I'll be expanding into the 405nm next, I just do not know what output I want yet. So far I have only been able to find 100mW and 200mW diodes. Does anyone know where there are higher rated diodes available for purchase? Also, how different are the 200mW and 100mW diodes in terms of beam...

That link doesn't work... you can purchase AR coated glass lenses for the 405/445nm diodes. Or you can get the lens pre-installed into a threaded assembly that goes into a standard Aixiz module (theres lots of sellers of these but ex: 405/445 Glass Lens - $6.25 : Mohgasm!, Because it feels so...

edit: uploaded pic of the actual diode. the leads on the back came off and the other side got banged up when i was hammering out this dead diode. I have attached pictures of the diode housing part of the DPSS. I have two of these where the diodes have burned out. So far I haven't been able to...
