How do I decan it, and is it common for diodes to burn up like this? Do I need more heatsinking?

I could burn holes in plastic, cut tape, light matches instantly, make almost anything smoke, and an unbareable sting on your hand if it was held still. Now it cant burn at all.

The diode is inan aixiz lens module, and picture 2 looks just like it does with no lens but with the diode stiill in the aixiz module . It used to look just like that. Unfocused it looks about the same as in the first picture, with random blotches of light rather than lines

hmm, I bought mine for 55$. If you can get them for just 40 than maybe It would make more sense to buy a new one and hold on to this one for later. Could you give me a link to where i can buy one for 40$?

well I already turned a flashlight into a custom host, I made a heatsink, somthing to hold the driver, and a custom battery pack to fit the extra parts. Id rather just buy another 445 diode rather than change the design
