    Help with DinoDirect

Well, the package finally came in! (At least part of it!), I would provide a link to the product I puchased, but as some of y'all know, DD, DX and Tmart stopped the sale of lasers >5mW... the page is gone. But it finally arrived at my place of work, come to discover a wonderful product inside...

Do blue lasers require ir filters?

DPSS = you should Diode = No IR, unless it is an IR diode of course. =) For the sake of safety, I would filter IR from ANY DPSS. ~Bernie

    Help with DinoDirect

Hello there, I have placed an order from DinoDirect on 9/15/2011. My last experience with the company was extremely positive and everything was wonderful. (and my products met or exceeded my expectations. lol). Although, for whatever reason, DD has stopped selling lasers over 5mW to the USA...

    532nm 500mW laser from lucklaser.com

Luck Laser --> First Impression that went through my head... "I'd be lucky to get an up-to-spec laser". lol. IMHO, I'd avoid it.

Official Review for DinoDirect 445nm Waterproof

lol I have a 50mW greenie (a REAL 50mW greenie), Which fires at about 70mW, then stabilizes about 45mW or so.. But comparative brightness, the 445 completely swamps the green output.. and I mean, completely. And I know 50mW of green is already insanely bright! So... I cant really say to much...

    Questions regarding KTP

I hope i posted this in the right spot. first forum ive ever joined. lol. But.... I recently dissected my 100mW greenie, coming to find out the AR coatings on the KTP have literally been " blown/ lased off lol".. 445nm from DinoDirect

Hello, i know I dont make many posts here, i love the forum, but my job and college stuffz do not allow me to spend much time here! lol. I have just ordered a 445nm (supposedly 500mW handheld), and I've read quite a few articles regarding them.. However, I would like to know if these diodes are...

    headlight lense ???

I've used one of these before, in certain automakers models, the glass is inlaid in what kinda resembles a "Fresnel" pattern, so either way, forwards or backwards, your beam will look kinda strange and wont be a "clean expanded or condensed circle". I salvaged one from a Toyota Camry - it was...

    Heat Sinks!!

well, i cant post pics at the moment (im at work and i will when i get home) but its a standard 12mm threaded module, diameter is approximate size to a .40 caliber bullet casing... lol. Just like the typical module you'd find in a pen or handheld module. sorry, wish i could be more descriptive...

    broken green is it repairable?

Unless you're extremely handy with small pieces-parts, consider this laser toast. A DPSS cavity is a very precisely aligned system... If the KTP fell off, it is a safe bet that with conventional tools, you will not be able to realign it yourself. I have tried, and its extremely difficult with...

    Heat Sinks!!

Hello there, anyone know where to purchase or find custom heatsinks? Looking to cool a 50mW DPSS 532nm module. Without thermal management, I can experience a run-time max of about 2 minutes before mode hopping ruins the beam...... Please help! thanks much! Looking for something with big fins...

Help with a DPSS Green Laser

OK so im back. I added the fan module from an Xbox 360 to the projector, mounted above the laser itself.. Along with the 532nm, I also added a 100mW 405nm GaN, for a two-color projector, looks really cool! The airflow is massive and now this laser has ran continously for about 15 minutes and...

Help with a DPSS Green Laser

Thank you all for your quick response. I'll try to manage the heat that is emitted... would that also be a plausible explanation for the TEM change? Oh, and by the way its a flashlight-type host.. lol. Hmm.. i gotta think.. if its warm to the touch outside the module, its gotta be pretty toasty...
