    Stripping a benq dw1620

I tried some days ago with a 1.5v battery and the valure was not right, I'll try again tomorrow just to be sure.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

I don't know, I replaced the battery when I started this topic, the brand is Nimex. Actually I didn't buy it, an electrician left it here, I found it after a while and is only problem seemed to be the discarged battery.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

    no, it oscillates around 0.76V

so my mm is broken, fuck yeah!

    Stripping a benq dw1620

should the multimeter show a "0" value when anode and cathode aren't touching anything? Because it says 0.92V and I'nt measuring anything roght now.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Ok thanks, I'll try, first I have to desolder the contacts on the diode

    Stripping a benq dw1620

so if I put, let's say, 300, would it be just about batteries discharging out faster or are there risks of damaging the diode?

    Stripping a benq dw1620

oh, ok, so if I want 200mA I have to turn the screw on the pad till the correct value shows off, got it. But is 200mA the value that grants maximum power to the laser? Can I choose other ones?

    yep I do

    Stripping a benq dw1620

I mean the red circuit board

    Stripping a benq dw1620

all connection and measurements done, I just need to set the pad and wire the diode. Just how should I set the pad?

    Stripping a benq dw1620

so what do I have to do now?

    Stripping a benq dw1620

I don't know, I mean, I'm supposed to use AA batteries? Maybe would be nice to install a plug for the use of ac. I would like to obtain maximum power from the diode of course.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

ok, done with the linking, about the measurement, where should I do it? the picture says on both side of the resistor, should I do it on the resistor or on the diode on its right? Maybe it's the same, I don't know. I tried with the 200m scale and the value oscillate between 107 and 109 mV, I...

    Stripping a benq dw1620

ok, thanks, so the first post was wrong, nice to know before doing any damage :)

    Stripping a benq dw1620

just to be sure, I've never posted a pic of the other side of the board, lot of time has passed and I don't want to ruin my limited resources. Doesn't sound strange to me.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

It seems to me that those two posts contradict themself about the diode's connections, or maybe I cannot understand what you're trying to explane.

    Stripping a benq dw1620

hello everyone I'm back! I've bought a new soldering iron (that turned out not so much better than the older one) and I came back to the project. I've done the testing circuit, soldering the resistors together but without solder on the circuit nor the battery, just electrical tape and coiled...

    Stripping a benq dw1620

Thank you for the explanation but I don't think I have understood well enough, could you refer to the connection points by the numbers I gave to them please?

    Stripping a benq dw1620

This solderer is so bad, it doesn't even melt tin with his tip..
