    O-like 400mw 405nm w/ 405-g-1?

Mine is the 445, I stand corrected. I figured since they are in the same host that they would use the same lens assy. Sorry

    O-like 400mw 405nm w/ 405-g-1?

I put the aixiz 445 lens in it, its a bit longer, so the brass retainer at the bottom of the spring loaded lens assembly has to be reamed out so its the same diameter as the lens. unfortunetly I have no experience with the 405-g-1 lens, but if its the same length as the aixiz 445 then yes it...

    O-like 400mw 405nm w/ 405-g-1?

After I removed it, I burned into the lens with a soldering iron. So I am positive, that mine came with a arcrylic lens. Maybe they made a mistake assembling mine, I really don't know but it did come with a arcrylic lens assy.

    O-like 400mw 405nm w/ 405-g-1?

Yes it is, the lens that came with my laser was identical to the arcrylic lens that comes with a aixiz housing. I had to modify the lens holder to even accomidate the longer 445nm lens assy.

    O-like 400mw 405nm w/ 405-g-1?

I doubt if its even a glass lens. I know its a different laser but my 1 watt o-like 445 came with a arcrylic lens (that i replaced with aixiz glass), so if they used arcrylic in a 1 watt 445 it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they used the same in a 400 mw 405.

    445nm laser using a 650nm red driver??

What you have in the link is a red module, not a driver. If you were going to spend $31 anyways, I would recommend just getting a Flex drive V5 with the current preset to 1250 mA. That will cost you $27 + $3 for shipping, and is a proper and safe driver for 445 diodes. Here is a link to the...

The "Blue Ninja" - 445nm 1,700mW DIY Creation

Re: The "Blue Ninja" - 445nm DIY Creation I believe they are the tenergy Lipo's, which can be used with the eflite heli's. I got a 4 of them for my MSR and they are well priced.

    Should I buy this laser?

I'd buy a complete laser from a member of this board. I purchased that laser In the begining of december before I knew about members selling parts or complete lasers for way cheaper. Its a good laser but its no better than the ones they sell here for cheaper. Also Somtimes things don't go as...

Anyone buy 1000mW 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen?

I'm still waiting on an o-like order placed Dec 6th sometimes EMS takes forever. I think in general you want to avoid ordering from china. I say buy from one of the members. You get a better quality laser plus shipping takes 3-4 days instead of 3-4 weeks. Or more...

Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using.

Re: Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using. Only $1.99 From what I have seen based on my own tests it regulates both. With 2 primary CR123A's I was getting ~500 mA at ~4.2 V, with 2 3.6v Li-Ion CR123A's I was getting ~1200 mA at ~4.6 volts. This was using a test...

    Tri laser

Series means hooking them up red, black, red, black and so. Then hooking the remaining red and black wires to your power supply. If you do that a 9 volt battery should be fine. Also the the thing the guy has wired between the diodes and the battery is a current or voltage regulator.

Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using.

Re: Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using. Only $1.99 I'm using the panasonic photo cells that digi-key sells, maybe I should try using a better quality cr123 and see if I get different results. Both of the cr123's I used were brand new out of the package...

Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using.

Re: Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using. Only $1.99 Thanks for the help. I may just stick with LI-Ions until I know more. Thanks again, Ben

Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using.

Re: Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using. Only $1.99 It would work if you were satisfied with 500 mA wouldn't it? Oh well, I just ordered some extra LI-Ions to go with this driver. My guess is the primaries just can't handle the draw.

Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using.

Re: Cheap 1.2 amp driver running off 2x 3.0v lifepo4 cells that iam using. Only $1.99 Have you tested this driver with primary cr123's? I ask this because I just got one of these drivers and it seems with primary cr123's it only outputs about 500 mA, and with Li-Ion cr123's it outputs just...

    The Ugly Duckling...

Anything >5 mw needs a aperture shutter, delay and keyed switch, But it can be handheld. I think we are allowed to build any laser, but it cannot be sold without the safety features. This is as far as I understand it, theres most likely something I've missed.

    Will a short drop kill a a130 445 diode? AKA OH F*%$!

Check the solder joints from the pill to the driver. The driver is soldered to aluminum and a drop could cause those to break loose.

My 1mw ebay laser... is 1mw

Neither of mine were able to smoke tape or burn at all until I modified them as Kage did in this thread. Now I got about the same results as he did, it still won't light a match, but they smoke. http://laserpointerforums.com/f38/8-ebay-pointer-becomes-burning-laser-58102.html
