Star Trek Assault Phaser 1.4W 445nm

    Awesome, thanks!

Star Trek Assault Phaser 1.4W 445nm

You know I was thinking the same thing. You could probably do a 10 Watt CW array using a large toy laser gun "host". Makes you wonder now if any governments (ahem, US DOD), has a "robust" black laser "gun" program that can say do 100 Watts CW from a rifle using arrays of solid state...

Star Trek Assault Phaser 1.4W 445nm

Yeah, nice job man. I don't want to mess your setup up, so by no means disassemble it. May be you could give a simple parts list and just a sentence on why/how you are using two flex drives. The rest I can figure out as I am pretty good with electronics. That beam must look sweet at night...

Star Trek Assault Phaser 1.4W 445nm

LKY2009, I am so impressed with this laser!!! It is beyond cool for me as I am a major geek. It is a dream to own a phaser that can make sound and burn at a distance (really). Could you provide a complete parts list and may be some tutorials? Sorry to be a pest, but I think I just found my...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

I am not impressed with this laser's ability to burn darker materials. Even with the stock 3.7 Volt lithium battery, although the laser is quite bright, its burning ability was not impressive. No matter how carefully I focused it, it just did not burn with the speed as the DX or budgetgadgets...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Well, I don't trust cheap Lithium batteries from overseas. The 3.7 Volt battery of nominal 1,000 mAh capacity (more than likely about 700-800 mAh in actual) looks ok, but I don't trust it nor do I trust the wall charger that came with it. I took the wall charger apart and looked at its...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Well, slow-like (o-like) finally got my laser out to me yesterday. It took them like 1 week just to ship it out, but I suppose, for the price, I cannot complain. The laser appears to be well made and as such, I was quite anxious just to see what the beam or spot looked like without the stock...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Man! That is nice. 313mW in single mode red (650nm) will smoke a lot of stuff around the house. That beam should be somewhat visible in daylight with dust in the air. I hope mine is at that power!!!

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Have no fear srinag, there are always alternatives. If it is weak, then at least I have a charger and these batteries. I will just buy the Budget Gadgets laser listed above in the link I provided and then sell the O-Like laser on Ebay.

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

That sux. Yours did not come with a battery and charger? I would immediately contact them and complain and/or demand an RMA. It sounds like other members have complained about this particular laser's output. May be the "pot" is set too low from the factory? If it truly is a 250mW red laser...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

"Check out LarryDFW on the forum, he sells custom high power lenses for the red laser and it will boost the lasers power by 30%! I have one for my blu-ray. " Thanks Emc2, I will definitely check that out. I am hoping this will be my general purpose, carry around laser. That will free me up to...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Yipee!!! My laser finally shipped out from o-like. This is my very first laser "pointer" that is over 5mW in power. I can't wait to get it and to start lighting-up stuff in my house and to check out the beam qualities in long range mode at night. Unfortunately, I don't currently own a LPM...

    405nm Blue Violet laser build

I have been toying with building a 405nm laser, but I keep seeing 1+ Watt 445nm lasers that are about 100-220 dollars to build. The current 12x 405nm lasers are single mode and can do about 600 mW of power? Can we assume if the speeds of the blu-ray drives increase, higher-power 405nm laser...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Thanks Benm. This is my first laser in a long time. If I had a laser power meter, I would post output results on fresh batteries for this device, but unfortunately, I do not currently own one. I wanted a laser that just works, is already put together and below $60. Now, I am planning on...

    O-like OL-CR-250 (250mW 650nm red laser)

Well, after scouring the Internet looking for a somewhat visible laser that can burn things, coupled with focusing capabilities, I have just purchased this: Cute High power 250mW red laser troch/focusable [OL-CR-250] - $54.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products I have...
