    Thanks for the guidance guys! I looked back through a number of the older threads and on ebay to come up with the $500... perhaps it is a tad high but when shipping is included it seems to be in the ballpark.

    Sorry. Can you tell I am new at this? I am in TX. In terms of price, I have just started looking and am using prices on ebay as a rough guide. I would like to pay on the order of $500 or so for the head and PSU. Notes on ebay: there are currently a number of JDSU 2114P units for <$100 used...
