Well I am running it on a single lithium cell so that doesn't really work, the diode runs some where around 3.6 -3.7 so hot off the charger the input is higher than that and would run directly into the diode at say 4.1v for maybe 30 sec, that is a little too long at that power level.

Any thing comparable to the flexdrive in output and size? I'm in need of something of similar dimensions that can output 1000ma at around 3.7v
