No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

between the battery slip and the host?

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

The voltage requirement is between 3 and 5V so Im using 3 AAA batteries at 1.5V each. Its not that specific kit, but the guts are exactly the same, as is where the parts connect. The host is too short but I dont mind having the module sticking out the end. Looks decent to me plus it will be...

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

Its exactly the same as the one you linked to me before.

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

Alright, apologies for the bad blur. So this is the whole module, it's only 10mW so apparently additional heatsinking wont be necisarry, i won't be having it on for long anyway. And this is the tip of the wire protruding from the module. I can trim it shorter of course, but thats what is...

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

I brought the entire module, so all I have is the module (diode, lens, driver) all in one. Its sealed off, and has 2 wires running out of it. A red, and a black. Its a 532nm btw

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

I dont quite understand.. So i solder the positive to the contact plate thing, and run my negative to the case pin? I presume that the case pin is the little metal ring that was inside my host, holding the circuit board in place? if so, mine got bent too much to go back in.. :S

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

Alright no worries. So here is the button/clicky. They are the 2 plates I was talking about. One of them is in contact with the battery sleeve (see below) and I was curious how I was to connect the driver/module (all i have is a red and a black wire) to the other plate. I hope that covers it.

No spring on my driver, where to attach + & - wires?

Hi, so my host arrived today, and it has a side clicky. After taking the light apart, the clicky is in contact with my battery pack via a a plate, and it "was" in contact with the circuitboard/LED's via the same sort of plate. My driver/module doesnt have a spring on it though, so im curious if...

    Getting laser through custom?

I brought a 10mW red when I was in Japan and put it in my carry on luggage. Went through customs fine. The officer did ask if I had a laser with me and i blatantly said no, and it got through fine... Oops :)

    build problem - ac adapter?

Not a chance that this module is coming apart lol. Its pretty solid. I've cut the cord, and I see a red and a black wire. I'm assuming now all I need to do is connect it to the batteries contact within the host?

    build problem - ac adapter?

Ive found a host that will fit it, should be here sometime this week, i got the seller to open it and measure inside it and all, it will fit pretty perfectly. It will have room for 3 AA batteries. I figured I could run it on 4.5V (3 AA's) Should be safe, yes? Im just not sure what to do with...

AH sorry about that. Didnt even realise they were that large. So your saying I wont be able to make this module porable?

    build problem - ac adapter?

I just need some help. So i purchased 10mW 532nm Green Laser Module Single Dot M532D10-3--1660 - DinoDirect.com When it arrived, I was shocked to see the cord has an ac plug on it, needing to be pluged into an ac adapter and then into a power supply? Im not quite sure what to do :/ could anyone...

Almost ready to assemble, is anything missing?

Alright thanks guys, I'll look into some torches that use C batteries, they'd fit the module in there easily. One more thing, the picture of the module.. it has 2 wires there, opposed to ta contact spring. I have no idea how to connect the module to the batteries. Could anyone shed some light...

Almost ready to assemble, is anything missing?

Update: I've just purchased 10mW 532nm Green Laser Module Single Dot M532D10-3--1660, Australia - DinoDirect.com Im under the impression, that all I need now is a host and my batteries. Does anyone know of a host that would fit this module? The dimensions are 16 x 60mm. Also, in terms of...

    Getting a laser into australia

Apologies for the necro post, I purchased a 5mW red laser (atleast thats what the sticker said) and decided to try bring it through customs, from Japan. Very foolish I know. Walked straight through with it in my backpack. The customs agent asked if I had a laser pointer and instinct took over...

Almost ready to assemble, is anything missing?

Alright thanks. Too easy. How would I go about securing the module into the host? Or should it fit flush?
