    Diodes going LED

This is the driver im using. Should i use a dummy load to set the current or measure it directly. Is there a risk of blowing the LD from intermittent connections while measuring current with a multimeter on the diode side of the driver.

    Diodes going LED

Hi guys, Im having some problems with LD's going LED after only being used a few times. This is my first laser but I don't want to keep having to change the diode. The LD's im using are Rohm RLD65PzB5 Reds with the current measured on the battery side of the driver of 190mA, allowing about 20mA...

Wish i could find a source of old dvd drives like that to practice with. I bought some 100mW red diodes ( cheap to practice...

    Hello everyone from the UK

Hi guys, ok so here's a few details about my first attempt. I got all the parts from OdicForce lasers, i set out to make a 250mW Red and bought an LPC 815 sled after watching a video of how to extract the LD. I found it was harder and more fiddly than i expected and after cutting through the...

Still finding my way around but iv'e learned quite a bit already and have just...
