Adafruit rocks, got my boarduino from them with a pile of blank shields and the occasional ADC. Great community all around.

    Howdy!

Thanks, yes although the power levels (electrical input) are less sketchy compared to my argon-ion, the optical power levels are sobering indeed... WATTS. Thanks for the input RE RGB, I'll be perusing that in a bit after I get everyone settled in for the evening.

    Howdy!

Hi, my name's Greg, just settling in after moving to Seattle. Got my basement lab up and running and finally got around to registering to this fine forum in which I've lurked to solve more than a few vexing problems over time. Anyway, now that I'm working full time I find myself ironically...

    WTB: lab style 12X BR

I guess this is the place to ask; can anyone point me in the direction of DIY stable labby supply ideas? I'm working on (finally) my dream combiner (or 2) and I'm looking to drive my diodes off a regulated power supply so I can explore some analog and PWM modulation techniques. 'Somewhat...

Arduino 'analog' out is TTL PWM, the 'mega' version has literally a buttload of I/O options. They make good RGB controllers as well. I'd prefer a faster clock speed on the PWM as visually it can get a little raspy. I may drive a second controller chip via 3 wire serial for better results after I...

Sparkfun is a good place for arduino goodies. Here's something I built with it recently: YouTube - goonulator pro, early work. Gonna use it as a controller (6 axis) for an RGB laser galvo setup once I get the beam combiner sorted out.
