    Post your mA and mW

Darn, that's still too high for me. Even with proper eye protection I wouldn't want to play around with that. I really just want something to play around with, but I guess these are too powerful for that.

    Post your mA and mW

Ok, thanks for the link. Does under-running a diode damage it? I mean, running it around it's lasing threshold. It would be cool to get a cheap blue laser in the future, but the power levels I see you guys running at scare the crap out of me.

What's the lowest mW these things have been run at?

Inexpensive Blu-Ray Laser Pens... worth a look..

My two BR lasers that I ordered a week ago came in today. These are my first BR lasers, and I must say WOW! Loving the color. And the brightness compares with my 5mW green pointer(although, the beam is much less visible than the greens one), so I'm guessing mine are overpowered. Very pleased...

$8 Green goggles and Scopeguy's BR goggles

That's odd. When I bought a pair of scopeguy's glasses I had asked if he tested them individually and he said: Plus, your BR laser is weaker than the one he shows in his pictures. When my BR lasers come in, I'll be sure to see how much gets through my pair of scope's glasses before I use...

    Yellow goggles, Blu-ray blocking

Mine arrived today, that was fast. They look great, and thanks for the extras. I wish my laser pointers I ordered from Hong Kong would ship as fast as you shipped this.

    safety glasses

I'm no expert, but I think with anything over 5mW you should have some safety glasses. You only have your one pair of eyes, better to be safe than sorry. Look what this guy did with 15mW: http://www.milankarakas.org/pub/Eye_injury/Eye_injury.html

Inexpensive Blu-Ray Laser Pens... worth a look..

I ordered a couple of these the other day off of ebay seller etimeshop, and has anyone seen any from this seller that actually operate at the advertised 5mW? Or all they all 30mW+? I would just like to know this for safety reasons. I already ordered a pair of scopeguy20's blu-ray blocking...

    Yellow goggles, Blu-ray blocking

scopeguy20, did you get my PM? I just ordered a few $5 violet pointers off eBay, after reading about them here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f38/inexpensive-blu-ray-laser-pens-worth-look-46487.html And would like to purchase a pair of these glasses so I have at least some form of...

Planning on making RGV, I have some questions.

Thanks for the help and the links. Yeah, maybe I'll just make a Blu-Ray laser first, and see how that goes. Starting with a RGV would probably lead to much frustration and lost money. Is this driver any good? http://rkcstr.nfshost.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=201...

Yeah, I saw that earlier before I posted here. But, it's just a little too expensive. Thanks anyways.

EDIT: Forget it, this would just take too long and be too expensive, and I would probably break an important part along the way and get too stressed out. I'll just stick to playing with pointers for now. Hello. As I was browsing the internet today, I stumbled across this page...
