Well, why get something that is too bright to look at? That's one more reason to settle with <=30mw. Though I didn't consider staring at the dot as dangerous, I was more worried about all the reflective surfaces at home - at 5mw an accident is quite unlikely to cause permanent damage, at 30mw...
