    Buying 1mw green laser

Thanks Ausben. I'm located in country SA. It's damn annoying that they don't consider the fact that the laser would have a <1mW sticker on the pen and consequently I would have known the legal requirement here. They certainly must be policing these things, with total disregard for those who...

    Buying 1mw green laser

Old-ish member, but still, and this is an old-ish thread, but still again. I've just had 4 {supposedly 1mW} laser pointers I purchased on EBay confiscated by Australian Customs because they test them now. However, of the four I ordered from good old China they only tested one and canned it...

    AAA pointers

Yep, you're right, sorry for the intrusion, perhaps one of your moderators would be so kind as to remove my posting.

    AAA pointers

New member here with a couple of questions if you dont' mind. I currently use lasers for the detection of metalic particles in a liquid and am becoming increasingly frustrated with their unreliability and/or functionality. For all the lasers I use, I've discovered they ALL act in a similar...

    Laser/Water.....need advice please.

Apparently the lower the wavelength the brighter the colour, therefore if this particular laser in NOT functioning at its rated nm, but in actual fact something in the construction is making it function slightly higher in wavelength, then that would result in a darker shade of red. I've also...

    Laser/Water.....need advice please.

Ok, Thanks for that. Just on a final note: On comparing Tyndall cone in solutions with other lasers I use, I suspect this particular laser may be operating at slightly higher wavelength than stated on the label, not by much praps, but enough to affect backscatter. Thanks again. Cheers.

    Laser/Water.....need advice please.

Thanks Kevin. I should have said earlier I suppose that I am not familiar with high tech equipment and am only referring to your everyday lasers. Your snipped quote: [...laser will decrease in power with the batteries.] -OK, I'll run with this part for a moment. It sounds like it could be...

    Laser/Water.....need advice please.

Thanks bshanahan. Yes, I'm probly still not in the right place so I won't take up any more time. This may be more science related praps. A final question if I may...Can you tell me what I would expect to observe in the operational function of a laser if batteries are draining? Do they still...

    Laser/Water.....need advice please.

New member here, I've been steered to this thread from a previous post I made earlier, but don't worry, I'm more passing through with a query rather than discussing lasers in depth as electronics are not my field of interest or expertise. My query is purely curiosity. I was wondering if anyone...

Do battery affect the brightness of a laser?

    Thank You for that.

Do battery affect the brightness of a laser?

Hi Group, By way of introduction I would like to say that I'm more passing through than participating in any reall discussions as I may not be in the right place here to discuss what I wish to discuss. I have a serious question about lasers and am finding it rather difficult in locating an...
