    possibility of eye damage?

Although I know there are some really stupid people out there, I find it hard to believe that a parent would allow their kids to play with such high power lasers. I find it really hard to believe that anyone looking at the brightness of the beam could not determine, even without a warning...

Why watercooling is a bad idea...

I water cool my CPU and GPU and have for a very long time. I love doing it. You just have to keep in place safety measures. Like I have my BIOS thermal protection set to 80C. The fans for my radiator are on a controller and my wife had turned them down for whatever reason. Kept wondering...

    Cymer XLA140 plus more

No worries. We don't have to worry much about reflections, it is not a pointer you can just be swinging the beam around with.

    Cymer XLA140 plus more

Cymer: Products I think it should be close to XLA100, I think the second digit is machine configuration from ASML, Nikon, Canon. IIRC it is 40W 4KHz.

    Cymer XLA140 plus more

Max is 4KHz, we do beam alignment at 20-50Hz. Same pulse power though, and it will easily go through latex gloves and clean room paper. We have also been known to 'accidently' get aluminum in the beam path. I will be going home for a week, and by them this laser should be installed and up and...

    Energizer Titanium

Have they discontinued them? If you go to their site all the Alkaline E2 are discontinued and replaced with advanced lithium. I have no idea whether it is marketing ploy tough, thats like saying lithium is a marketing ploy.

I need Help DECREASING the mW of a home built Blue Laser pointer

Link dont work. But wont a diode need a collimating/focusing optic? The divergence is huge? I have a 635nm 5mW diode that I am messing with for work, with cross generating grating to align to large optical units, and if I take the end cap that has the focus optic and grating in it out, the...

    3 variable power lasers

I realize that. I was just answering your question. :D Either that or he is referring to your mentioning of the rkcstr driver or making his own ddl driver. Or he could have forgotten to provide a link? See now you have confused me. I think I will stick with my initial impression that he is...

    lens cleaning help

lens tissue - Google Product Search I would imagine any of these would be OK. Ones without a solution already in them. Just dry wipes. http://secure.sciencecompany.com/Methyl-Alcohol-ACS-Methanol-16oz-P6657C670.aspx

    lens cleaning help

Cotton would probably be ok in this application. But I wouldn't trust it, you just never know if there was a process error and you get something hard in there that scratches. Lens tissue should be easy to find online. At work we use only lens tissue and methanol. IPA, even 100% leave a...

    3D laser technology

Dang that would be cool. I wonder the quality of images they can make. Maybe someday things like this will be common place and cheap.
