My new new style O-like 200mw YouTube - burning matches with laser cropped

It came in today. Strange, no update on the tracking since it left singapore.

Normally? Just wondering when I should expect to see my laser at the door. The tracking site still says "dispatched overseas" and it's been a week.

How much could (if they can be at all) the 200mw new style red be overdriven?

Hell, even a 15mw green has a visible beam (at night).

Here's a recent target. These are 2" diameter shoot n c's with 10 rounds at each. Most of the ones on the left of the target were my dad's groupings.

I've had some issues with post-impulse reset beforehand, but I took it apart, and put it back together with some more care, and it seems to be holding zero (at least it will at 50 yards, which is what this is designed for). I don't expect it to hold MOA groupings at 100 yards. It's mostly a...

Well thanks. It's my custom built Ar15 SPR (special purpose rifle).

She's 25mw (upped from the 15 it was supposed to be). I asked O-like to up it up to 25 from the 15 it was advertised as, so that I could get a bit more reach from it at the range. It came with the picatiny rail mount. They have since discontinued selling this model. here are the pics.

Yes, that's the way it works. It's a photoreactive layer on top of the disk that you literally burn with a laser.

The flat diodes are the ONLY diodes in these lightscribe drives. There are no LCC's or any other circular diode attached to the sled.

Hence why I kinda want to trade them. I want to make a nice easy laser first.

That's why I haven't touched the housings yet. Ready for whoever wants to work with them.

Sorry to bump, any luck with running these recently? I picked up 2 of these same diodes recently, and I want to make some good strong hand held lasers with them.

So, anyone have any advice on how to power and mount one of these strange diodes? Or anyone in DfW willing to trade me one of them for an aixiz module?

I kinda wanna trade them for a good diode that I can mount for a nice circular red burning laser diode.
