I wouldn't sent the laser as a whole unit either.... not really worth the risk of losing it. See if you can take it apart, even if you have to cut wires, soldering is easy. I'll see if i can find my customs letter.

Hey guys i have had a DX 30 mw taken by Au customs. recieved a nasty letter saying i'm breaking the law etc etc..... Attention to all from oz.... import modules and diodes!!!! NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!! It is amazing at what can go past customs sometimes!!?!!
