i found the other beams looked fairly weak, i didn't get very technical at checking divergence. I just felt that the ledshoppe beam was a lot brighter. you can get about 5-10% off coupon code if you google/search the forum. I thought the ledshoppe had best build quality too.

The little bit of clear plastic/glass on the end of the module with the end cap removed has lots of cracks in it. What does this bit of plastic do? Should i pull it out?

115B - The switch is a bit crappy so not such a good host. Also the laser module you use has to have a switch built in. I think 114B is better.

@FireMyLaser - so what material/solution did you use for your mirror to avoid multiple weaker refracted beams. based on my poor memory of physics, you probably want to have a very thin layer over the reflective backing of the mirror, eg exteremely thin glass, or maybe some kind of clear paint...

I don't understand, What so special about the initial mirror that is used to reflect the beam? Can i just use a normal piece of mirror, or does a normal mirror cause some minor refraction of light and make the beam change characteristics? Thanks, Mike

@ FireMyLaser - Thanks Is there anywhere like dx or focalprice that sell little round mirrors, or any extremely cheap gadgets that are good for ripping out the mirrors or as host for handheld spirograph/tunnel.
