yea i figured ill have to get a diff power source but shouldnt the driver still be keeping what current is there steady?

ok well i think the driver might be bad because, i used an led for testig and i opened up the circuit right after the led and measured the current there and it was going down just like measureing straight to the battery, any ideas?

well i hooked up the 9v to my meter and it reads about a 6.8ish on volts and then i measured current and it starts at about 170ma and decreases to about 130ish is it normal to do that? and can you just hook it up terminal to terminal like that for current?

Hey finnaly went and got a dmm from wal-mart lol the EXACT same one i looked at from radioshack but for about $15-16 cheaper anyways now hopefully i can get it to work with a 9v later on:can:

well i didnt have goggles but i put the beam on a ruler and put on some shades and the dot it no bigger than a mm but apears smaller, and its very bright too, im just gunna wait till i have school friday morning and put it on the dmm to make sure i got the right values, anyone know a good way to...

are you sure this helps just by making that hole bigger? and it does have a small hole although the peice doesnt look like that...
