After reading much about Novalasers i decided to buy one, the candidate was X100. Boy glad i bought it from Nova. I asked Magdalena about getting me a good one. I am not sure how good it is. I'll show you a picture how high it is rated. But Definitely blows away my DX true 30 :) The downside is...

i envy you, i have to wait for my X105 and that is killing me. excellent spek on your nova it is a 100mw laser no 85 nice nice! talking about under-rated product.

considering the round shape of the body tube and the flat surface on the spring i would assume it wont make much of a contact no wonder being slightly dirty will decrease its performance greatly.

my DX true 30 can slice thin dark plastic from 10 cm is that normal or over powered one? i was using 3.2v lithium on it.

Re: Yes another "What To Buy" - DX True30mW or 50m I am actually quite happy with it(tDX true 30), BUT i dont have much money to spare, it is the quality that killing me. Now i know it is better to have quality more expensive laser that last for a long time than having a cheap one that will die...

the quality on this particular laser is not stable you might get either good or bad and somewhere in between.

In my case dimming coused by battery sag, using fresh alkaline made the output stay bright for quite some time before eventually dim(sag) and when rechargeable lithium(3.0v) is used i can hold it bright as long as 25 seconds without dimming. I am sure 30-40 seconds is possible with RCR123 but...

Does anyone knows duty cycle on DX 30mW green Laser? i could not find anywhere on the manual or even DX site.

I own a DX 30mw green, if this is your first green then get it but remember the lottery, you might get a bad one. I wish a bought a Nova as my first laser instead of DX 30mW, it is a better investment IMHO :(

10440 is a AAA sized 3.6 Lithium rechargeable. Since when fully charge it can go up to 4.2v so i am not sure about this but as u suggested a diode should help. Anyway i tried a Rechargeable 3.0v CR123, it actually works quite nicely which replaced 2xAA Alkaline but with better lithium...

anyone?

Can i run DX 30mW green safely with single 10440 + dummy? anone tried it? Thanks.
