I need a complete list for DIY Blu-Ray laser

I had never soldered before yesterday and have a perfect laser today. Everyone here can help you, but you need to read up on stuff first. You can make a good phr laser for 80 dollars, and not much less. Trust me, it will be great for that price.

    Big shout out to daguin

I built my first laser today.   :D I say built but all I did was solder 2 wires together. The rest (and as much information as I wanted) came from daguin. He stepped me through everything, and even was kind enough to sell me a phr module. He deserves a medal, and I thank him a lot. Now about...

    Worried about purchase!

I was just saying my personal preference, so don't really listen to me. I am not too active on LPF yet as I have not actually received a laser yet. (DX shipping= forever)

    Worried about purchase!

A wicked laser core is 5 mW laser isn't it? They don't suck they are just extremely overprices. A 5 mW greeny should be bought for 20-30 dollars max.

DIY blu-ray- best options for the price?

You can get the PHR installed in an aixiz on the forum for about 20 dollars shipped. The rkcstr driver is fine. For a host I would recommend the MXDL 3405 with a jayrob heatsink, 2 10440 batteries and a charger. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3405

    Cost effective PHR goggles

May I ask how much shipping for DL is? The goggles that you mentioned have OD+ for 405nm and the OEM lasers one has 2 OD+. And for half the price.

First DIY blue ray Advice Needed.

That should work, except I do not know if the voltage will be a problem. You are also not going down the most cost effective route. Here is what I would do. (I am doing almost the same thing now except with a reassembled module, that are now sold out) Driver: Either of your originals will work...

    Cost effective PHR goggles

What is the best deal I can get on laser protective goggles (405nm) that will make it so even if I shine it in my eyes I won't be affected. I am not going to actually shine it in my eyes, I just want to be as safe as possible, as I use my eyes quite a bit.

FS: DX.Sku46 "Pocket Pal" Build Kit

Alright, I see. As I have never soldered before, I want my first laser to be as risk-free as possible. I guess I will just go with a MXDL and a Jayrob heatsink. Good luck.

FS: DX.Sku46 "Pocket Pal" Build Kit

So has it been modified or is it still just the flashlight? EDIT: In other words. Do I need to do anything, or can I just pop in the module and go?

FS: DX.Sku46 "Pocket Pal" Build Kit

What version of heatsink is it? Would this also work with a rkcstr driver?
