My DX200 red will arrive this week and I am wondering if it's ok to use rechargeable batteries because they have more than 3v. Will my laser be safe with rechargeable 3.6v batteries?

I ordered one too ... I really like the design. I hope i won't be disappointed like with some other lasers from dx. :'(

so this means that the IR diode is still working? if so how can i focus it to make a ir burner? now i can't feel any heat on my finger.

I can't understand why it still emits IR if the diode is broken.:/

I know is dangerous , i looked in it through a digital camera. :) anyway thanks for the advice! Yes, i did pot mod it and i have tried to mod it back but nothing happened. :( If it still emits IR it means that the diode is not totally broken right? So what can i do to repair it? :-/

So.... after i moded my dx cr2 laser it worked for about 2 seconds then it died. Now when I look in it i can only see a weak infra red light. What did actually happened? What can i do to fix it?

Hy, I own this laser for 2 weeks. Today something very strange happened. When i turn it on everything is ok for about 3 seconds than suddenly the beam splits in half. There are 2 parallel beams coming out of it and it lose a lot power. Can anybody tell my why is that happening and if there is...
