what if I get a single 3.6v AAA lithium cell and use that with a spacer? Obviously this laser is designed for 3v (2 x 1.5v) so will the extra .6 volts fry the laser?

well if i want to go with the 200mW laser, im not sure a 440 dollar premium is worth a case, but yes I guess there is more value for the Alpha series, since its about the same cost when you factor in shipping from CNI.
