Best Battery Type For A Green Laser

NiMH is available in Slow-Drain (Eneloop, Rayovac Hybrid, Kodak makes some too, and so does Duracell) and advertises better shelf-life per charge than regular NiMH. The only trade-off is that regular NiMH is on average higher mAh than Slow-Drain NiMH (e.g. 2700 vs. 2100). Amazon will standard...

    Even more BS from Techlasers

It's good that you did a chargeback. I think you'll get your money back quickly since TL won't cooperate.

    Glow in the Dark Fun

Welcome to LPF! :) http://www.optotronics.com/green_pens.php has a $47 4.99 mW green pointer (With shipping it comes to $53.98). I have never used it, but Optotronics has a reputation for high quality lasers. There is a 30 mW green on that same page for $75.

    Batteries

I couldn't find them at: thomasdistributing dot com So I went to Amazon, category electronics, typed in "rechargeable cr2" and found this: Juice CR2 Rechargeable Photo Lithium Starter Kit Only $28 shipped! :) I can't vouch for these batteries. I've never used them before.

    Batteries

I prefer low-discharge (LD) NIMH because: -after sitting on a shelf for 12 months, they retain about 80% power, unlike regular NIMH which rapidly lose power -they're rechargable and yet acheive performance close to that of more expensive lithium (e.g. Energizer e2) -they're offered in AAA...

    $700 RPL 300 - 2 WEEK SPECIAL!

Re: $930 EMS shipped. RPL-300. <!!>UPDATE<!!> Since you sold the red, now it comes with the sports goggles and optics only, right? Can you please tell me the difference between the RPL-300 you're selling and the RPL-300 currently sold on Optotronics? Are the specs any different, such as does...

I suggest keeping in mind the price of goggles: $50 from NovaLasers $53 shipped from Optotronics IDK where to find cheaper ones.

Shedding some light on the RPL auto shut-off

I think it would be great to have an RPL, but how soon will there be an actual green diode available for cheap? I've heard that they exist but they're currently very expensive. I would be disappointed if the new diode technology became available 1 year after I bought an RPL. :'(
