My laser lenses are messed up! can u help? plz

I have just switched to glass lenses for all my lasers. I have also found putting some Teflon Tape on the threads helps a bunch with keeping a nice fit to help prevent t he lens from shaking. i got my lenses from laser s u r p l u s parts [ d o t ] com   without the spaces in it.

    Odd Blue Ray

I would just replace the diode as well. PHR's are easy to kill... I have killed 1 so far and it went from super bright to just really dim. Thank fully the diodes are pretty cheap now to get. I keeps a spare on hand now with my parts in case something happens again.

    Previous FLexDrive units?

I have worked with the V4 version. So far I have not had issues but i did notice that it was a tight fit. Granted I have been soldering for many years now. For beginners these V4's could be a bit hard to work with.

    660nm Red laser question

I am putting together a red 660nm laser and so far from just short testing it gets very hot very fast. My blu-ray build stays cool for a long time. Is that normal for the red or do I possibly have the mv's up to high on the driver? I have it at right around 420mn's. I already ordered a heat sink...
