We tried both photo and thermal testers. The thermal was the one the read 130mW and the photo sensor overloaded(was meant for ~30mW which we thought would be enough)

So basically I should enjoy this thing while it is a burner and get ready to order a new one? Well for $13 I guess its a pretty fun toy even if it only lasts a few days. If anyone is curious it is sku 91 on DX. I might end up buying another one and hope that is "breaks" in the way this one did...
