WTB: 12" x 12" cut and routed wood boards

Those prices dont look too bad for 1/2" foot squares, I think you can get 4 in a box before the shipping goes up. I'd say go for it, for that price. If you decide you want the sides routed, or corner feet, etc. holler at me, I've got all the tools, and nothing but time.......lol Best of luck...

WTB: 12" x 12" cut and routed wood boards

I bet the plywood you've dealt with before is more of the "exterior glue and sawdust" variety then, the humidity from breathing on it will cause the top ply to seperate and warp off...... Here's an example of baltic birch: http://www.trmguitarcabs.com/baltic_birch_002.JPG

WTB: 12" x 12" cut and routed wood boards

Getting wood from Lowes/Menards/the BORG, it's all going to be warped. No way around it, that's why most guys who do this, buy rough stock. Once it acclimates to your shop, then you rip/joint/plane to final dimensions, which gives you a flat/square piece of stock. I don't know if you have a...

WTB: 12" x 12" cut and routed wood boards

Perfectly flat wood is almost a myth, because wood moves at different temp/humidity. I can mill you a piece dead flat, but by the time it gets to you, may no longer be flat. Even baltic birch can warp. I started using MDF for all my shop jigs, simply because it doesn't warp, at least not in...

    Can anyone idenfity this HeNe?

I'd say that has to be what I have, the length and width match almost perfectly. I appreciate you digging that info up for me, I"d never have figured it out on my own! IF I can get this up and running, a lamp is exactly what the end result will be. I've been drawn to that pink glow since Dad...

    Can anyone idenfity this HeNe?

I don't have a picture yet, as I don't have the tube in my hands yet. It measures just under 14 inches from tip to tip, and 1.5 inches in diameter. The only markings on it are "14.9" in blue marker on one end, which I'm assuming is the mW it tested at, and a white sticker with a barcode on it...

    Pattern generator software for Windows

Hmm, all of those appear to require an ILDA supported laser, and I dont have that. The laserline program I posted the link to just outputs to the line-out of a sound card, which is all I'm looking for. The search continues...:)

    Ebay BR pens

I've got a decent vise here, I'll try to get it apart without destroying the host, but I dont have much faith in that happening. I wonder if some heat applied to the host would soften the adhesive enough to make it easier..Always seem to have trouble getting the stupid button out of the way.

    Ebay BR pens

Update: I rec'd the new BR pointer, from the seller that the OP posted. All I have off so far is the end cap, and the lens assembly is completely different from the previous one I had. More disassembly and pics to follow...

    Ebay BR pens

Meh, just for S&G I'm going to grab one from the link in the OP, am curious to see if it's the same one inside.

Meter probes were between battery and case....Is it just me, or does that seem a little high?

    Ebay BR pens

Just threw a meter on the module, I wish I had done this before I screwed around with the pot, but I didnt think about it. Where I've got it set now, it initially pulls ~350ma from a 3.2v supply, and quickly settles down to ~330ma.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking also, the dot is about impossible to focus on in the first place.

    Ebay BR pens

Ok, remember when I promised some good pics? Sorry about that, these crappy ones will have to do for now, I need a bit more time with the macro mode on the camera. Sorry in advance... There was a drop of red Loctite on the pot that I've since removed, and I honestly cant tell if adjusting it...

    Ebay BR pens

I went ahead and did everything I could think of to get the module out of the host with no damage to host, but that wasn't going to happen. I ended up slicing the host in half with a dremel, and removed the module that way. I saw no evidence of adhesive in there either, so I'm thinking host...

    Ebay BR pens

Hmm, I just rec'd one that looks exactly like that, albeit from a different seller. Came apart with about 30 seconds of easy wiggling, with the tip securely clamped in a wood clamp. There's what appears to be a screw-in lens assembly there, which will easily turn about 2 turns either way, then...

ARF:  Missing leg on Senkat LD

Well, just as I had everything ready to go, driver adjusted to what I thought was proper, host all done, etc.... The positive leg snaps flush off the diode. Anyway to attempt to repair this? And if not, is it worth it for me to get another LD of the same type, or is there a new "hot item" out now?
