    "Big Scary Laser" logo copyright?

Does anyone know the source of this image: Like, who originally created it? I see they used it in the TED demo of the mosquito-zapper laser; How to shoot down mosquito using laser gadget. - YouTube I guess no permission was required to use this image (no copyright)?

Did I catch laserbeams in flight?

I shot this video at the Bay Area Laser Enthusiasts Meet last month. I slowed the video down and backed the frames up to try to figure it out. +186,000 miles a second, filmed? CBrVf2XI8kE Did I catch laserbeams in flight? I know that it looks like I am seeing the "back end" of the beams...

Mitsubishi 635nm diode divergence at 350 feet

Here is a video I just shot of my 365mW mitsubishi 635nm from a distance of 350 feet. The "dot" is more than 24 inches across at this distance. :p VhhWC-XS--s The other lasers are a 1.1W 445nm, a 180mW 660nm, and a 65mW "cute" green. :D

    Rifle 650nm from Lazerer.com

Here is a small review of the 650nm Rifle laser from Lazerer.com. link For those who don't know, this laser's design was copied from the WL S3 series, but it is a bit smaller. See this thread for size comparison...

diminshed blue or green in vision (too much 445nm?)

Wicked lasers website states that prolonged exposure to 400nm to 500nm will: “alter and have a diminishing effect on a person’s perception of the color green.” Question: besides common sense, how do they know this as fact? My theory: several laser technicians at their sweatshop (read: factory)...

    Red mini Arctic

Anyone seen this laser at Focalprice yet? 88088 200mw 650nm Red Laser Pointer Pen (Black) It looks very similar to the mini arctic that Laserer is selling here: Rifle445 but the aperture looks different (non focusable?). :undecided:

Why do we have to use laser safety goggles?

Human eyes are the most sensitive organ of the human body. The laser is made to highly gather the ultra energy and power at the focus within seconds, while our eyes lens also functions as focusing; all combines to make the power in the unit area shot at the retina increases nearly one million...

    WTB: specific host

I am looking for this specific host: I have a 200mW 660nm version of this laser, and I like the host and wanted to create a 405nm and a 445nm laser using this (waterproof) host. Has anyone found a source for empty hosts that look like this?

    WTB: used LPM >1W

I'm in the market for a used LPM. I know that there are pretty good models (Laserbee, Kenometer) for around $200 new. But, I really don't want to spend more than $50-$100 or so. I would prefer used and highly scratched up. I don't even need it to be completely accurate (+/- 10mW off is fine)...

    WTB: used or cheap LPM

I am in the market for a Laser Power Meter. I know I could get a decent one for about $200, but I didn't want to spend that much on just a meter, when I have access to a LPM at a friend's. I was thinking about getting the HLPM II 200mW LPM Module for $54.99 from lasersbee. But, having to do...

    130mW bluray review (Darkarmyofone build)

As some others did, I took advantage of Darkarmyofone's build service. I asked him to build me a bluray in the pocket mini for around $100. What I got was a 115mw (avg) - 130mW (peak) bluray laser in a pocket mini host. It takes 1 CR123 battery. I'm using a Trustfire 3.7v.: It uses a...
