We don't seem to hear much about them here. I got an EnVee 100 last year and while I do not have a meter, it does all the right things (lights matches at distance etc) and still works fine. So what do we think of Lucent here? What is the general experience?

I have seen it stated here a couple of times that they are one and the same. Do we just think this is the case or do we know it to be true? Ie., what is the evidence?

Given that many common rechargeable D batteries are only rated at 2000 mAH, why not use those plastic AA to D adaptors filled with a 2650 mAh AA? Or have I missed something?

What is the folks' experience here? Do high capacity (say 900 mAh if AAA or 2500 mAH if AA) rechargeables work well in most lasers even though the nominal voltage is lower or do you need high(er) voltage as well as high mAH to get good (best) results in things like burning? :) :)
