When driving an infrared or 650 NM red laser do I absolutely have to have two 18650 batteries without a boost driver? Just wondering as both dots seem very dim when driving with a linear and one 18650.... are boost drivers complicated to make? Thanks.

I pulled two diodes out of an old 16x lg cd drive. What are the pin layouts on these? Same as the lpc diodes? Would like to know their power and recommended amperage. Thanks for the help.

Getting this out of the way first; I'm on my phone so sorry for any typos. I'd like to know where I solder the negatives wires onto in an aluminum housing. I've searched and read the stickies but can't find anythin.. do I just solder the negative input to the driver anywhere on the host? Thanks...

This is my setup : ghost driver 2 at 350 mah, Sony diode 250mw can take up to 400 mah, aixiz module with focus able lens , 9v battery. The light seems really low, the soldering is fine. I just got these. What could be wrong?
