    Lifespan for modded greenie?

    i got a 10mw greenie for christmas and now i want to try the mod of shorting out the 03 and turning the screw, but does anyone here have any idea of how much it can shorten the lifespan? and also, is it safe for the lens to try to tap out the laser module from the apeture, because i cant get it...
