    Can batteries burn out a laser?

    I got a new laser recently and it was working really well. The battery it came with died(a 18650) and I charged it but now the laser won't work at all. It hasn't been dropped or anything the laser itself should be fine. Can the battery burn out the laser diode or internal wiring? I'm not really...

    What brands of 18650(and other such batteries) are good?

    I'm relatively new to lasers and I'm in need of 18650 batteries because the ones that came with my first laser seem pretty bad. They're UltraFire 18650 5000mAh and 3.7V. What brands make the best batteries and where can I buy them? Thanks.
