    Oh my gawd!!

Alright Dave, so I got 51mins of run-time off that battery you sent the laser with. I am very surprised it lasted that long, way off on my estimation. Hope this satisfies you ;)

    Oh my gawd!!

I am going to estimate the minutes in which I did my balloon tests, and some match lights- 6mins. But I am currently doing the 5 minute interval test.

    Oh my gawd!!

"was that 555mW with a 405 lens? " YES. Well I am going to do it, I will not stand for rough estimations! As I feel 380mA is safe for a 12x. Plus I only imagine the battery lasting a mere 20-30minutes anyways.

    Oh my gawd!!

I can see the diode being 100$ eventually, but not that soon. The enjoyment of it is priceless, and you can always sell a laser.

    Oh my gawd!!

Cmon Dave you silly goose, I said I used a dealxtreme stand for my laser :) And I feel like I owe a favor to the forums, and I am interested myself, so I will run the laser 5 mins, let it cool, 5 mins, let it cool, until the batt goes out. Gotta charge the battery first though...

    Oh my gawd!!

Today I received my long awaited 12x BDR laser running at 380mA ad 555mw firepower, weighing a mere 2.2 ounces and 4 inches long.(thanks Daguin and Igor). I ripped open the package in my car, and proceeded to click the laser on. Visually it looked not much different, and I turned it off after...

    Near Virginia?

Does sound fun, though strangely akward if the age ranges 16-50  I can drive, but probably would not drive anywhere >2 hours :o The only true reason I need a laser "homeboy" living relatively close is so I can occasionally check up on my laser with some one else's meter....Ill get my...

my laser-related predictions of the future

Don't forget once handheld lasers reach kilowatts, lightsabers are abound. Also pulsed lasers with tens of kilowatts, creating blaster pistols seen in star wars. The current top laser developed by Northrop Grumman can slice through helicopters and airplanes. Develop that into a hand held and...

    Greetings from Virginia~

Trevor your killin me. 1. I actually decided to read the rest of your post this time, when I noticed you traversing the subject of "java code" and "mmorpg". I am just about to start up a MMorpg server, when my exams this week are over. I have the webhosting, and vbulletin forums up, and vps...

    Greetings from Virginia~

Oh my god. I live in Yorktown, Va. My sister attends Virginia Tech, and I also plan to attend there, as the engineering is MOST excellent.(currently a junior in high school) Great to see a laser enthusiast so close. Yes, physics is agreeably one of my strong subjects, along with math. By...

    Near Virginia?

Ello, I sometimes see posts about people wanting to have laser meetings in their area, or just general talk about the remoteness of where they live, and who they visit sometimes to do some laser stuff. I sure see a lot of laser enthusiasts dwelling in the California area, and it makes wonder...

    Size of a focused spot

I have no measurement, but what I always hear or am told is that it is about the size of a human hair. Which is pretty good, but of course you cant actually see this, as the light reflecting off the object will always make the dot look to be about the diameter of pencil lead. (or bigger)

    12x Murder Fund! + Graph!

Re: 12x Murder Fund! (Complete!) 50$, NICE. I would probably equate to that if I was not 16yr old stuck in school, jobless, but I will grow up eventually.(unless kidnapped by Peter Pan.) But it sounds as if we could easily have 100$ already through as little as 4 users. I agree with you...

Re: 12x Murder Fund! (Complete!) Igor seems set on not letting us donate :cryyy: But if his healing heart desires to pay for one, we must comply.

    12x Murder Fund! + Graph!

Re: 12x Murder Fund! (Complete!) Lets get another fundraiser going for sure, we need to roll with the experiments, as 12x users are greatly increasing. You can find 5-10$ from me.
