New to lasers but ready to buy; please advise . .

Great company, great lasers so unfortunately, it comes down to personal preference. I get that Washington is a rainy state but unless your hellbent on sky pointing in the rain, you could probably save a chunk of change and get the $122 model. Plus, any non-waterproof model should survive the 1st...

Tips For Taking Better Nighttime Laser Photos

You're right randomlugia but the ambient light comment was geared towards shutter exposure durations of the camera itself and not the laser. I just wanted to let people know their point-n-clicks may work in their situation and not to give up before trying. But yes, the more available light, the...

Has anyone delt with Awesome Lasers

Well then, let me give you a +rep which will negate his -rep. If cool lasers don't tempt the kids maybe that long-ass Dog the Bounty Hunter looking earing that dangles from his left ear will impress the kiddies. Speaking of the Dog, wonder if Dave ever made his list:D

Tips For Taking Better Nighttime Laser Photos

Recommendations are a great idea but creating a list for the members would be exhaustive and more likely overwhelming. I'm dyslexic and have A.D.D. so going through that list would make me go batty.:scowl: Maybe a good way to offer up cameras that "do the job" would kinda be how I did it. Post...

Tips For Taking Better Nighttime Laser Photos

Point-n-clicks may work where there is more available light like on a full moon lite night. I have a "pocket" camera (canon sx100is) and it has a 10 second shutter option. That wouldn't pull off a shot like I posted up above because of the total darkness but if you live "under the city lights"...

Or worse, you could end up with a laser pointed back at you, courtesy of Mr. Air Marshal. :tsk:

    Is it possible...

Hehe, couldn't resist. Was all that movie BS or is what he's referring to actually real figures? For the uninitiated: YouTube - Real Genius laser final (1985)

    Is it possible...

to synthesize excited bromide in an argon matrix?:D

    which one ?

I love their description on the 100mW unit: "With extremely bright green beam, this 100mw green laser pointer is most suitable for pointing objects from long distance. It is widely used in astronomy, classrooms, lecture halls and outdoor travel." Really? 100mW is suitable for classrooms and...

    Just used my 1.6W 445nm for self-defense.

As comedian Rodney Carrington says, "if someone was going to try and beat my ass, I just pull my pants down cause nobody wants to fight the naked guy"

[SALE] Iron Man Laser Glove Host

Heck Yeah:drool: I'd like one just because it's so easy to carry and conceal. I'm a pointer, not a burner so it would be fun to carry it around and not be spotted if I do a quick shot against something far away. The beam is usually a dead giveaway and it doesn't take long for someone to trace...

    First order from o-like today!

Depends. What country do you live in?
  18. Gsquared18

    Ok who did it?!

What are we talking about here? A pointer or something bigger that can handle what he said was 10 minutes? And did he not see the beam because of the city lights? Either way, it's hilarious. I feel like I belong to some underground secret society.

Fog Shots of my small laser collection

:kewlpics: No worries on the fog damaging your furniture as fogging fluid is water-based. As far as parents complaining...they shouldn't have any problem with it unless "the fog" isn't really "fog" and smells like mary jane.

Reasons for getting a 5mw blue laser pointer ?

Bin at wlasers is very nice, respondes to emails very quickly and is very quick to help with exchanges. Last week I bought a pointer from him and the AAA battery just wouldn't come out. I emailed him, sent him a picture of the problem and he said no problem. Yesterday I just received my brand...
