    low power (<5mW) purple laser

Well yes, but if you know you have a 200mW laser in your hands your going to take more precautions than with something that was sold as <5mW. I had two strong lasers (100mW according to specs, who knows what the real number was) and I was always extremely careful with them because I knew the...

    low power (<5mW) purple laser

Hi, it's not that important right now, but after I get the purple one I may be buying a green one to (assuming they have IR filters). Like I said, it's going to be a cat toy so I don't want to risk her eyesight.

    low power (<5mW) purple laser

Hi, I'd like to buy a 5mW or less purple laser that's actually 5mW (or less). Reading these boards I see that most are way overpowered which is something I don't want. Does anyone have any ideas where to get it? Reasonable prices are a bonus too (obviousely). In case anyone is wondering why...

    How do YOU see 405nm?

For me it's purple but a kind of purple that I've never seen before. Also it always looks unfocused. If I point it at certain white materials it looks like a perfectly focused blue dot.
