My laser arrived today! I was worried there for a moment. Great that it didn't get seized!

The light is red and turns green eventually. I doubt the ultrafires provided are protected so don't try to charge them overnight.

How far can you see the beam or dot?

In terms of visibility, what can you farther? The 1W 445 or the 100mW Green? If possible can you also take account of the beam divergence so I know what can be seen farther? Better yet, if you can give me approx. distance in whatever unit that can give me a better reference.

I'm assuming the 400mw green probably won't be worth the money if the 1W blues are equivalent in visibility. Hey btw, PM incoming.

Good lucky buddy. My '100mW 532nm' from Lazerer was shipped on the 24th (I tracked it from Hong Kong Post) and it just arrived in Canada yesterday. I tracked it on Canada Post and it says "international item arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs". Hopefully it will be cleared soon...

just an update, the mountains are about 3km away I'm assuming the aperture of each laser is average of about 1.5mm and mrad of each laser is average <2

To start, my main intent with the laser I wish to purchase is long distance pointing at night (and day if possible) as I go camping in the summer, I want to be able to point at mountains that are quite a distance away (and I know are safe to point at). My budget is $250 :) I've been saving up...

Great review, I'm considering purchasing that laser! Can you give me an estimate of it's beam and/or dots visible range?

I too am thinking of the purchasing the O-like crown upgrade 400mw. Would you guys think it's worth it in terms of value and quality?

I ordered the "LCZS Classic 100mW green" from lazerer on the 18th of April, shipped on the 24th and it would've gotten here by now. I live in Canada and it's been two days and I'm a little paranoid with Canadian customs seizing my laser. (I'm in Vancouver)

okay so I've visited Jetlasers website and they're selling a 10x beam expander for $100. So what you are saying is with the beam expander attached to my laser I get better visible range? How far do you think I would be able to see the dot?

I knew it would come to that. Right now I have the LCZS 100mw focusable 532nm from lazerer and Max told me there are no beam expanders for that. If it is possible can someone fabricate one for that lol. :san:

Would focusing help distance? Since focusing can give you a tight beam wouldn't a tight beam help over long distances since divergence can be an issue?

Hi guys I want to purchase a green laser primarily for seeing the dot at long distances. (2 to 4 blocks) Should I get a focusable 100mw or a non focusable 200mw? The 100mw is from lazerer and the 200mw is from a person on LPF who lives really near me who is willing to sell his 200 to me.
