not only that but you can use heat srink tube to cover the negative so you dont short it out.

wow so then you only get about a quarter percent on the orniginal ir diodes power. kinda seem that you would just want to leave it be so you could get more out of your diode and set up. so does ir focus very well with glass lenses?

those look good to but i can still get the other one just a little cheaper. will look into both and maybe try both.

the only bad thing is that i have talked to the customer support and they say that they dont sell just the housing and lens that suck it would have been really great if you could buy the housing and the lense it self oh well i think i a couple of weeks i will try to buy one and do some tests.lol...

well of course the whole thing :P i have a machine lathe that i have used for work just get a little aluminium round bar and go to it. that should cure the heat. or would copper be better? any how i have read that the glass lenses help get more mw out of the beam.
