Yea I have the same problem with 445's cheapest I could find was $45 which is a lot for me at this point :/ but its worth it to protect your eyes

thats a good price for that laser. Anything over $100 and you could buy a 1w 445 for around the same price

I think you should have it sent to someone on this forum to test it properly with a lpm because its hard to estimate the output of a laser without one :)

Nice review the host looks good. Any comments on how small you can focus the laser? with a 200mw red in a axiz you can focus it to about ~200 microns from awesome burning :) Also what would you average the Mrad at at infinity focus?

It depends on the diode. You might be alright if you drop it on the ground but Im not sure about hitting one with a hammer lol. Ive dropped a couple different diodes on the ground by accident and they usually still work but one of them lost some power. One time a pin broke off a 200mw red diode...

Hey guys I was wondering what the average shipping time will be for the regular $5 shipping compared to the $20 ems shipping and if it is worth it? If its going to be more than 2 weeks for the regular shipping then I will try the ems and see how that turns out.
