Actually, if it can block most of it for even half a second, its good enough. I don't plan on focusing 1W onto my eye while wearing goggles to "test" what happens. Even if the protection fails after 1s, its more than enough imho.

They both seem fine from the specs I checked. I'm guessing the microboost might be more efficient at 900ma?

I'm more concerned about the driver. The battery should be fine. Can a flexdrive handle 1amp for a 445 ?
