So I made my 561 glp pen 2-2.5 times brighter.

Well It took forever to get to get to 4mw before and now it gets there in under a minute peaked at 6mw I can see the faint beam in my room which is lit by 70Ws of 6500k cfls. So somehow how I made it output power levels that take it minutes thats why It looked so much brighter. Still the...

So I made my 561 glp pen 2-2.5 times brighter.

Okay then why the hell did the beam splash it has on the lens get much brighter after i did it I lmped it 4mw before I did this. gonna lmp it soon. I wouldn't do this to 400 dollar laser unless I had something better than a good hunch Whats going on aren't 593.5 1% efficient i cant see a 561...

So I made my 561 glp pen 2-2.5 times brighter.

I always wondered why it was specially set to 3 mw yet the 808 dioide got hot. even if it was 10% efficent you shouldn't need more than 45 mW of 808. I noticed that when the batteries went dead there was some 808 even though it had a filter. So I turned the top part where the switch is and i...

    Rechargable CR2s or equivalent?

Can confirm I have a i2 that works for both Nicads and NIMHs along with Lithium it can charge all sizes at 500ma even a AAAA

Fire and ice (473 and 612 through a small pinhole lens) Big Picture warning.

I used my 473nm lab laser since it was right next to my 612 and it has terrible divergance. I wanted to try and get equal brightness so I didn't use my jetlasers 473. Decided to aim my camera almost directly into the opening of my 612nm

    Why HeNe?

my helium Neon at 612 is quite bright 2mw orange and it has such a small dot and i tested it by shining 50 feet at night and it still had better divergance than my cni 561. mine has a perfect round dot. They look amazing.

FDA wants to restrict green & blue laser pointers as "defective"

I'm aware off this law and how absurdly broad it is. That means bright flashlights with a strobe or sos feature are illegal too.

    Weird POV effect with 589nm.

Whats a formula that has 808>1064>532 Just wondering?

808 nm Pen: Interesting Spectrometer Readings

yeah but diodes shift up in wavelength and not down when they get hot. It must get 120 F on the host. The muiltmode pattern changes when i switch it off for a second and back on once its hot. That pinhole is good enough to see laser diffraction. I wonder if there's any relation between this and...

808 nm Pen: Interesting Spectrometer Readings

Still haven't figured out why my 808nm gets dimmben but emits yellow and green light. I have no lens on it it's 1.2-1.5W mltimode from a o like 400mw green. I can see the light in the dark room. It needs to get really hot. normally draws 2 amps but it does it when down to 1.71 thats how hot it...

Jetlasers 465nm 3.5W PL-E pro Pics and Video

Is it possible these are driven above 465 Whats the duty cycle?

Anyone here have access to, or own a Laser Range Finder which uses IR?

mine sees 980 in a bright room and it sees 405 much brighter and more like 445nm it has a f/2.8 with no zoom and it zooms ten times. it can even autofocus on my 980 or my 808 which has no lens but is atleast 1.5w.

So... is 589nm really worth it?

banning blue ray is just dumb tho my 50mw can't make it up past ~70 feet at night when a much lower 5mw 650 can. plus 405 is much more scattered than red and dimmer in lumens per watt. if they decide to ban the WLs there's still a 90 day public comment window before it becomes law. also...

FDA wants to restrict green & blue laser pointers as "defective"

That's about what low powered green would look like from a few miles away. These are probably a 1-2 watt with a wide beam since they can be seen during the day and 25 at night. Also the Army uses 532s to signal at checkpoints. My nebhior shined it in the window one time and even though it has a...

FDA wants to restrict green & blue laser pointers as "defective"

Dosen't our fucking own government us a Red green laser system to warn pilots they're too close to a certain area. I seen a video of it. Hypocrites.

So... is 589nm really worth it?

Get it while you can. It's awesome and if you have blue googles that block light up to 750 or so you can see IR florescence on wood. my 612 hene is too high to do it.

    Weird POV effect with 589nm.

Mines a pen and I just checked and it sure as hell is I can see it easily. I'd say 70-90hz. I can even see led night lights at 60hz in the corner of my eye pulsing. another thing when it's mode hoping or w/e it's doing I swear when it dims and gets bright ther color changes i tried this in my...

    Weird POV effect with 589nm.

I wonder if this is why my CNI 561 which peaked at 4 mw dims to 20% and goes back to full brightness over and over is it pulsed? It keeps doing it until 5-10mins after it gets warm. most unstable laser I ever seen.

Lots of sites are down today

I wonder if this wasn't done by North Korea's elite cyber hacking divsion which is located in China from what I read. Is it really Russia every time you gotta wonder?

I'm pretty sure we will have dioides that can be pushed to 488nm or near it soon.

If i leave my 473nm labby on which is a 10mw but peaks at 34mw and turn off all the lights in my room things start to get a green hue to the blue. I'm convinced 473 hits your green cones just like 532 looks slightly yellow after awhile and then you see that yellow vs a 520nm I theorized this...
