so you realize if you combine a pair of those 2.5W reds you are going to have an 8mm x 8mm beam... which is going to be hitting DT40's with presumably 3.5mm mirrors???

I had a 300mW 532nm laserwave modulated just fine... actually of all the 532nm chinese greens my laserwave has been the best bhom has been building a good reputation tho, worth trying out, a lot cheaper

the $5k version comes with a whole 3D drawing application very similar to 3D studio max but 100% laser optimized but ya, I agree, $5k is a bit insane lol

QS is the "light version" its based on the Beyond engine... and Beyond costs between $1500-$5000 for the standard to the ultimate version LSX does look very promising though...
