    Jokes thread!

That Fluke picture looks fake. The word "Futile" is much sharper and darker compared to the MΩ and its also misaligned. But hey, its a joke :)

    some problem

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I did not notice that there was still a focusing head that he removed

    some problem

Its the collimating lens. Remove that and you will have a flashlight.

So LPF, What do you drive?

Lets not start a flame war here but I'll just share my opinion. Manual transmission is not stupid. Its much more fun to drive a stick shift. You can be in much more control of the car rather than a computer doing it for you. There is much more you can do. A real driver should be able a stick, IMO.

    The death of a M140

Are you referring to the LM317HV? No. Its simply rated for a higher input voltage but its just the same.

    Marking Thermal Paper

Even my low power 532nm laser marks thermal paper but it takes a few seconds to get it started. IIRC, it was around 80mW when I got it.

I was at the back of the house and the moon was huge and yellow. Too bad I don't have a telephoto lens so it looks like a mini sun instead.

    Laser Driver from Scratch

The driver is constant current so you don't have to worry about the voltage. Just keep in mind that it will be an inefficient setup. The driver is linear so it will turn excess voltage into heat. If you supply it with 9V and the diode is dropping 4.5V @ 1.8A, the driver will turn the excess...

    Alternative for AAA

You didn't search the forum, did you? There is a thread about this and it was updated just a few moments ago. Li-ion 10440 batteries are usually used in ebay pointers.

NOT FS: SoundMagic E10 In-Ear Monitors

Re: FS: SoundMagic E10 In-Ear Monitors I've changed my mind. Since this can be bought for so cheap, I see no point in selling a used pair. I'll just give this to someone in the family. NOT FS ANYMORE

NOT FS: SoundMagic E10 In-Ear Monitors

NO LONGER FOR SALE is a pair of SoundMagic E10 In-Ear Monitors. These are practically new. I got these in the mail about 12 hours ago and I've only used these for about 5 hours. I'm selling these because I find them very uncomfortable to wear because I have small ears and small ear canals. The...

Nikon D3100 and the standard 18-55mm lens. Even though I've had this camera for over a year now, its rare that I can capture good images.

    My <2 Gallon Pico Reef

That's very nice! What equipment are you running there? I've haven't yet ventured into saltwater mainly its because its expensive and I don't have time to keep up with the maintenance. I hope to give it a shot one day.
