Dans -- I don't recommend a laser of any wavelength. The reflectivity of the polished metal will likely cause dangerous and power robbing reflections. A pulsed laser will likely deliver a string of dots unless you scan slowly. HM

Glass blowing is an art like blacksmithing. You have to practice OFTEN. So many of these arts are dying because there isn't an "app" for it. HM

It is a constant voltage supply with limits on current and voltage. You can google that number. HM

Look at a PTH08T250 module for 40 Amps ! HM

Cut the holes with a plasma cutter. 20 Amps should work fine. HM

I built a Fender Tremolux 60 Watt amp from the schematic when I was in high school. 2 12" and 2 15" speakers will remove wallpaper! Last summer, I was asked to set up and demo a player piano at the museum. Boy, were my legs tired from those bellow pumps.... HM

I'm playing with my "tiny" etcher which I got from ebay a couple years ago. I removed the low power 445 laser and replaced it with a bigger blue. As normal, it doesn't focus to a point. I want to put in a 405 (about .7 watt) but I need a driver which puts out 6-7 volts AND has a TTL or...

I put a small plastic analog meter into a PS years ago. I had many Megs of resistor in line. NO PROBLEM... The meter blew itself out of the panel at 7,000 volts. It might work for you :-) HM

I got a 200 mW green years ago from Sky. It never put out 200 mW and if the temperature wasn't just right, I got about 50 mW just like right now. HM

Nice housing. I started with a plastic replica and machined all the laser stuff to fit it. Mine still has the sound board. I used a logic level Mosfet as my 2+ amp current supply (switch) from two 14500 cells in parallel. HM Pretty simple build for lower power. It's still impressive.
