100% of the tail caps are tested for proper operation before shipment. Try some battery spacers to make sure the battery contacts are firmly touching the driver and the spring. We will send a replacement if that doesn’t work. :)

I searched my records and the only order I could find that we received from Qatar was a heat sink from 5 years ago. And like I said, everything goes out with a tracking number. Oh, and we don't even sell a $40+ driver, so you must be talking about some other vendor. ;)

The S4X configuation as described in this thread works pretty well for absorbing and transferring the heat of the 44. Of course it can be improved upon as suggested by several of the members here.

It is not compatible in the current configuration. I have plans to design a 20mm adapter for this host but have not found the time to do it yet.

I would heat sink them at over 1.8A. Yes, heat sink the side with the two controllers. I mount them to our heat sink driver pill like this: This picture shows a prototype driver with two pots, but the one pot on the production driver is easily accessible in this configuration.
