What do you need it to do? The benboost works well up to 800mA or maybe 1.2A, not sure. And you can parallel them to double the 800mA. Wolfman has some very high current buck drivers. Check out Cajunlasers.com for a good selection.

I have a nice craftsman that has neat features. It has a very good capacitor measurement. It has a short circuit detector. But my beef is with the ohm-meter. I don't get good measurements on smt 0805 resistors of known values with +- 1% and even my 1 ohm test load is very wandery and inexact...

Ahh, through the magical powers of my DMM it appears that green is negative so I'm guessing blue is... Positive?

I have an couple Asus that I really like. But I didn't see any Asus laptops that spec'd comparably to the Sager he had listed here. With the 750 hd and 16gb ram it looks like a slam dunk to me.
