    DIY aixiz module

The https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf was the attempt to go to the new google sites layout which was a cluster and I could not revert back so it links to the classic site version https://sites.google.com/site/dtrslasershop so that may look strange if landing on that page. On the modules page...

why are there so many different laser lenses?

Depending on the application different lenses will be more suited to get the best results or more desired tradeoff. The most common multi-element lenses are AR coated for a narrow range and it would be best to use the ones that have the right range for your diode. There are also several common...

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

Yea you have to push to the max just to get the typical power with a G-2. It should be quite a bit over at max. Also the forward voltage is way off typical @ 1.2A you are showing 0.5V under where it should be and pushing it all the way up to 2.2A just gave a 4.6V/4.7V flasher on your display...

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

Yea the Osram diodes are like that.. Take the PLTB450B. It will blow not go into a state like the N!ch!a where it will get to hot to the point that lasing literally shuts down. Think it is due to expansion in the diode but will come back when turned down. The PLTB450B has a 1.2A nominal and 1.6A...

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

The sharp 700mW 638nm is on my list to do testing on but it is a good question. I will push it up to the top and try to do that one tonight.

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

Ohh.... that hard drop off of efficiency right after the max current raring is not what I would expect. I would like to see some numbers with 1.4A and 1.2A and if the curve starts this drop off between the nominal and max rated current I would say these do no go with the datasheet provided...

ACS1500SE vs Micro Flexdive V5 Efficiency.

That will work. Ii aactuually have some of those. Use them in my small builds but did not know they could supply 3A. Nice. Yea you won't get much difference between the two drivers in that scenario then.

ACS1500SE vs Micro Flexdive V5 Efficiency.

If it is say a blue or green diode with a typical forward around 5V the driver could be trying to draw as much as 2A from the cell. That is a really tall order for any 10440. You want to find a cell with a very high discharge rate. IMR if you can find some. AW used to have some good ones. Avoid...

ACS1500SE vs Micro Flexdive V5 Efficiency.

The flex would actually heat up qucker @ 1.4A causing it to go into thermal shutdown much quicker.. See this. https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/flexdrive-driver-heatsink-for-continuous-driver-duty-cycle-1-5a.56404/

    Sharp GH04W10A2GC 350mW 405nm

I think they have been around for a few years if they are the same ones junktronics used to sell. I thought they had worse divergence than the M140 so I did not pay much attention. If they can do around 1W with the fairly tight beam I am sure I can get with the DTR-G-8 and pair well with the...

    Sharp GH04W10A2GC 350mW 405nm

Sharp GH04W10A2GC 350mW 405nm I was actually pretty impressed with the divergence of these diodes. I had thought they would be much more divergent. Comparing with the M140 it is about half the line size using a DTR-G-2. These can be pushed very hard before they drop off. I don't know...

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

Yep the M462 was pretty much dead on 462nm. The NDB7675 was often excessively overdriven to get higher wavelengths where the M462 did not like being overdriven. I was pretty excited seeing the activity on these as I had some samples that arrived this week. Broke them out and was surprised it is...

How to clean my laser diode

I am thinking by the picture you still have a lens in front of the diode and the contaminate is on the lens. If the lens is in place and you turn it the artifact with rotate with the lens. If it is on the diode window it will remain fixed. I am thinking as well if it was on the diode window it...

    Help with Mits P73 isolation

The diode and entire module is neutral for the case. No isolation is needed. I had an old image of the pinout which I see is not showing. Looks like whoevers image hosting accoutn removed it. I will get them added back up on the site. The only diodes that are not neutral case that I have listed...

    NUGM03 1W 525nm Laser Diode

Yea it might be a little higher wavelength or it also might be shifting a tad with the suggestion to run it at a higher current. I was looking at that last night and saw the efficiency does drop off a bit after 1.6A. I will have compare some data points and against the NDG7475. If they are not...

    NUGM03 1W 525nm Laser Diode

Yea all these multimodes do have their lasing lines energize a slightlyi different rates. I was mostly pointing out to note how this ball lens was doing I don't think it would look different if I put this cap on another NUG or NDG or even some of the blues. I just thought it was interesting that...

    NUGM03 1W 525nm Laser Diode

I might have confused a bit with the layout as this new site limits me to 20 pictures so I did not get to the G-2 test last night going to be doing that here shortly and probably will have it up in the third post tonight which I reserved for the G-2 testing. The first test was with the stock...
