Did you bridge the Correct side.? Its the side of the resistors thats in the middle. The Right side if your looking at my Pic. Something is Not right that you are doing. just take a picutre of your setup so its clear on how you have everything connected.

Yes. Good. Jumper 6,7,8 would be fine for that currant. Bridge the 2 resistors like i show above. That would put you in the second range and allow you to adj to that currant.:) Bridge it Permanently. As in with solder. Like DTR said bellow.:D
