US AG, Pam Bondi, is testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee right now. She hasn't answered many questions by Republicans or Democrats. It has been more of a performance for the Donald. She especially avoids all questions about Jeffrey Epstein.

UBCs are still viable as a way to be certain people who shouldn't get a gun never do. Just because you disagree with them doesn't make them illegal.

There is still broad support for UBCs. There are few, if any, firearms that have no serial numbers in the US unless they were printed.

If UBCs carried a felony charge with prison time this would work. Few people would transfer weapons without a background check with prison time involved.
